Coal India Q4 net profit dips 4.4 percent to Rs 4,238 crore

Kolkata: State-owned Coal India on Thursday reported 4.4 percent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 4,238.55 crore for the quarter ended March 31, due to higher expenses. The company's consolidated net profit in the corresponding quarter of financial year 2013-14 (FY14) was Rs 4,434.18 crore, Coal India Ltd (CIL) said in a regulatory filing.

New Delhi: IT training firm NIIT Limited on Wednesday reported a net loss of Rs 151.2 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2015, on account of restructuring of its business. The city-based firm had initiated a business transformation programme in the second quarter of 2014-15 to streamline the group operations.

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government transferred 77 Indian Police Service (IPS) officials here on Friday and posted Raman Singh as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Bhopal. Earlier, Raman Singh was posted as Sehore district Superintendent of Police, a senior Mantralaya (state secretariat) official said.
