Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party today pulled out of the 'grand alliance' in poll-bound Bihar, saying it felt 'humiliated' as it was not consulted while deciding seats and would contest the Assembly elections in the state on its own.

New Delhi: The Election Commission is likely to announce the schedule of the high-voltage Bihar Assembly polls later this week or early next week. Sources in the poll panel said the schedule is likely to be announced later this week. If not this week, the schedule could be announced "early" next week.

New Delhi: The Congress today dismissed speculation that Rahul Gandhi will not share dais with RJD chief Lalu Prasad in poll-bound Bihar. "These sort of doubts only you have. The meaning of an alliance is to fight unitedly. It is a grand alliance. We will all be together. Congress president has shared (the dais). Question does not arise of the Congress vice president not doing", party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters.
