Goa government will reportedly bring changes in the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme to incorporate measures like improving the menu for better nutrition and participation of parents in monitoring the quality of food.

After the Friday’s hike in fuel prices introduced by the Central Government, petrol has become cheaper than diesel in the Western Indian state of Goa. While petrol is currently priced at Rs 52.10 per litre, the hike of 90 paise (Rs 1.09 post state government tax) takes the price of diesel to Rs 52.70 per litre.
