No written examination for police recruitment in Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi: Amid the controversy over police recruitment in the state, Akhilesh Yadav-led Uttar Pradesh government is going to scrap written test in the hiring process. It will not be mandatory for the lakhs of aspiring candidates to appear in the written examination for the upcoming recruitment of 40,000 police personnel in the state.
