Government defends deferment of caste data; 8.19 crore errors found

New Delhi: Dismissing suggestions that caste census report was not released to 'hide truth', government today said more than 8.19 crore errors were detected in the data of which 1.45 crore faults continue to exist.

New Delhi: The government yesterday said it plans to award road construction projects worth Rs 1.26 lakh crore during the current financial year. Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan informed the Rajya Sabha that the government has set a target to award 273 road projects.
