The TDS level in water is found to be 1500 and in some sectors it is more than 1800 and 2200. However, the normal TDS in water should be 500, according to the World Health Organisation."The TDS levels in water vary across all sectors in Noida. The TDS level in Sector 93 is 1800 and in Sector 40 it is about 1200 and in sectors 40 and 44, it is nearly 1000-1200," said Pintu Kumar Pandey, zonal head water treatment, Noida Authority.  As the TDS levels are high, quantity of undesirable minerals like calcium and magnesium are also high. This leads to several issues like corrosion of electric appliances, pipes and taps.

Unique Identification cards or Aadhar cards were made compulsory by the Delhi government to access any government service. However, Noida being the business hub situated very close to Delhi was not lucky enough as residents are yet to enroll themselves for these cards. Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of the UIDAI, planned to establish uniqueness of individual and wanted to document each and every resident of India through Aadhar cards. But, since its inception in 2010, things have gone haywire as hardly any UID camp has been conducted in Noida. Nearly one-and-a-half years back, an Aadhaar Enrollment centre was inaugurated at Jaipuria Plaza at Sector 26, Noida.
