Panaji: The Goa BJP is opposed only to offshore casinos and not onshore ones, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar told the state Assembly on Wednesday. He also said no operational offshore casino would be allowed to function in the Mandovi River off Panaji by 2015.

Panaji: The Pune bench of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the Goa government not to allow any more new offshore casinos functioning in large boats in the Mandovi River off Panaji, citing pollution issues.

New Delhi: Making it easier for domestic funds to manage offshore pooled assets, SEBI on Sunday relaxed its norms by dropping the '20-25 rule', which required a minimum of 20 investors and a cap of 25 percent on investment by an individual, for funds from low-risk foreign investors.
