New Delhi: In a frontal attack on Modi government, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday accused it of trying to run Delhi through "backdoor" to protect the corruption and said it had "back-stabbed" the people of the city by issuing a notification "siding" with the Lt Governor.

Chennai: AIADMK on Wednesday said seven more persons allegedly committed suicide during the last one week "unable" to bear the "hardship" faced by party supremo Jayalalithaa following her conviction in the disproportionate wealth case, taking the total number of deaths in this regard to 251.

New Delhi: The Central Vigilance Commission has done away with a 50-year-old practice and asked ministries to decide on their own cases where corruption angle is ruled out against senior babus. The relaxation in the rule is aimed at speeding up the probe in cases involving allegations of "administrative lapse".
