Hyderabad: The death toll due to severe heat wave sweeping Andhra Pradesh has risen to 852 with the scorching weather claiming 202 lives in Prakasam district alone, officials said. As per Meteorological Department, the heat wave conditions would prevail in the state for now.

New Delhi: Over 700 people have been killed so far due to soaring temperature which has been gripping the nation for the last few days. Sweltering conditions persisted in Delhi and other states like Telangana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal with temperature hovering around 45 degree Celsius in most of these places.
