New Delhi: Navratri is one of the holiest Hindu festivals celebrated across the country. During this festival, people worship different avatars of goddess Durga for nine days and observe fast. Some observe fast for nine days while some prefer to fast on the first and last day of this festive period. People on fast prefer to eat foods made of sabudana, kuttu atta, and fruits as they are light on the stomach, and add rock salt to their meals instead of regular salt. Also, garlic and onion are not consumed during these nine auspicious days.
