Sagar (MP): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan yesterday ruled out as impracticable the demand raised by Opposition parties and social groups for imposition of a blanket ban on the sale of liquor in the state along the lines of Gujarat and Bihar, drawing the ire of Aam Aadmi Party.

Srinagar: Two unidentified militants were killed today in an encounter with security forces in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, the army said. Acting on specific information about the presence of militants in Putshai area of Lolab in the district, security forces cordoned off the area and began a search operation today, an army official said.
