Agartala/Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be spending four busy days on his maiden visit to the northeast where he will address the country's top police chiefs, dedicate a train line from Meghalaya to Assam, commission a power project in Tripura and inaugurate a festival each in Nagaland and Manipur.Modi begins on November 29 his trip to the northeast region that shares boundaries with China, Myanmar, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Patna: Veteran BJP leader and West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi on Thursday sworn in as the Governor of Bihar. Tripathi was administered the oath of office by Chief Justice of Patna High Court Rekha M Doshit at Raj Bhawan here. The West Bengal Governor, who will hold additional charge of Bihar, replaced Dr D Y Patil whose tenure ended on Wednesday.
