Unique Identification cards or Aadhar cards were made compulsory by the Delhi government to access any government service. However, Noida being the business hub situated very close to Delhi was not lucky enough as residents are yet to enroll themselves for these cards. Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of the UIDAI, planned to establish uniqueness of individual and wanted to document each and every resident of India through Aadhar cards. But, since its inception in 2010, things have gone haywire as hardly any UID camp has been conducted in Noida. Nearly one-and-a-half years back, an Aadhaar Enrollment centre was inaugurated at Jaipuria Plaza at Sector 26, Noida. The agency carrying out the project was Karvy Data Management Services Limited and apart from that Noida head post office was carrying out the work.
