Kolkata: The ruling Trinamool Congress was on Monday surging ahead by a massive lead in the civic polls of the state by leading in 80 seats of the 144-member Kolkata Municipal Corporation board and 67 of the 91 municipalities of the state.

Shimla: Several parts of Himachal Pradesh experienced mild tremors on Saturday but no loss of life or property was reported in the state. The tremors were felt at around 11.42 AM and lasted a few seconds, forcing people to rush out in the open.
