1. Lokesh Rahul (158) has registered his career-best score in Tests, surpassing the 110 vs Australia at Sydney in January 2015. His only other hundred is 108 vs Sri Lanka at Colombo (PSS) in August 2015.

2. Rahul's marvellous knock is the first hundred by an Indian opener, playing in his first innings vs West Indies in West Indies, eclipsing the 96 by Ajay Jadeja at St John's in 1996-97.

3. Rahul has become the fifth Indian batsman to record a century in his first innings in the West Indies, joining Polly Umrigar (130 at Port of Spain in 1952-53), Brijesh Patel (115 not out at Port of Spain in 1975-76), Ravichandran Ashwin (113 at North Sound in 2016) and Sanjay Manjrekar (108 at Bridgetown in 1988-89).

4. Only two visiting batsmen have scored more than Rahul in their first Test innings in the Caribbean: Glenn Turner (NZ)- 223 not out at Kingston in February 1972 and Andrew Hudson (SA)- 163 at Bridgetown in April 1992.

5. Rahul has become the third Indian opener to register the first three Test hundreds away from home, joining Sunil Gavaskar (8) and Vinoo Mankad (3).

6. Rahul is the second Indian batsman after Mohammad Azharuddin to convert his first three fifties into centuries. While setting a Test record of posting his first three hundreds in his first three Tests, Azharuddin had accomplished the feat against England in 1984-85 - 110 at Kolkata, 105 at Chennai and 122 at Kanpur.
