Wishing Mulayam before his 75th birthday on November 22, SP state unit vice-president Ratul Choudhury said that Samajwadi Party is the only secular party which could form a government at the Centre with the help of other secular parties, if both Congress and BJP fail to win majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Choudhury in a press statement in Guwahati said that if his leader becomes the Prime Minister, then the poor and the downtrodden would be benefited by his works carried out in the footsteps of Jayaprakash Narayan and Ram Manohar Lohia.
The senior Samajwadi leader also called upon his party workers across the country to take a pledge for ensuring maximum number of seats for the SP in the coming general elections.
