District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma reviewed security arrangements across the city.

The district administration has geared up the law enforcement machinery to keep strict vigil at movie theatres, malls, roads, community parks to avoid any untoward incident.    

Anyone trying to create trouble or harass people in any way would be booked and legal action would be initiated against that person, police said.

Separate squads under the supervision of Additional District Magistrate, City Magistrate, SDM Sadar and Tehsildar have been formed to keep round-the-clock vigil around ancient Dudheshwar Nath temple and other shrines in the city till the Jala-bhi-shek ceremony which culminates on Maha-shiva-ratri on February 17.

Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh told that all Deputy SPs and SHOs of police stations in the district have been ordered to take precautionary measures to ensure fool-proof security around the temples to maintain law and order.
