Ara (Bhojpur): The district administration on Tuesday beefed up security at the slain Ranvir Sena supremo Brahmeshwar Singh alias Mukhiyaji's residence in Khopira village in Bihar's Bhojpur district, police said.

In the backdrop of threat perception to the family members of the slain Ranvir Sena chief, security has been strengthened at their residence with 10 policemen, including five armed constables being deployed, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) G.M. Kumar said.

In addition, elaborate security arrangements will be made at the late Ranvir Sena chief's residence on June 13 for the 'shraddh' ceremony, he said.

Singh, the chief of the private milita of the upper caste, was shot dead by gunmen near his house in Khopira village in Bhojpur district on June 1.

His younger son Indu Bhushan Singh had on Monday spoken of threat to the family members and said that all of them were feeling 'insecure' since the murder of the Sena chief.
