Attari Border: Demanding asylum in neighboring Pakistan, an Indian woman hailing from Punjab has refused to budge an inch from the border unless she is permitted to go to Pakistan.

The woman named as Arvinder Kaur, is also a lawyer by profession, had accused former Punjab Inspector General of police Mahendra Singh Ahlawat of sexually assaulting her eight years ago.

Her ordeal could not come to an end even after -24 hours. Ahlawat, a resident of Bhiwani, has been booked on a complaint lodged by Kaur who said he sexually assaulted her eight years ago.

In her complaint, she alleged she was assaulted when Ahlawat was the senior superintendent of police, Yamuna Nagar, in 2002.

The incident took place, Kaur said, when she approached the police officer to get a case registered against her husband and in-laws for torturing her and demanding dowry. She further said that he began to call her frequently to his official residence after that.
