New Delhi: In the wake of increasing number of women patients in the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital, the authorities have decided to open a separate health care unit for them.

In this section, which will be functional by the end of this month, blood pressure and urine test of women will be conducted. After the opening of this centre, women patients would be benefitted on a large scale.

Superintendent of Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, RA Gautam after witnessing the increase in patients in the OPD had decided to take this move. Here at least 80 to 100 pregnant women come for their regular checkups.

The construction of the health care unit is in its final stages and would most probably be completed by the end of this month.
