Srinagar: Separatist JKLF on Monday called for a shutdown in Kashmir Valley on December 10, the International Human Rights Day, to protest awarding of life imprisonment to two militants by a TADA court in Jammu.
"They had already served 15 years in jail. We will protest against this," JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik told reporters here.
"Besides the general strike, we will sit on a day-long hunger strike on December 10 to protest violation of human rights in the Valley," he said.
JKLF chairman also announced a peaceful protest in Lal Chowk, a commercial hub, after Friday prayers.
