Srinagar: It seems that separatists are not happy with the peaceful ambience in the Valley. They are in search of an opportunity to dismantle it by unleashing violence in the state.

Challenging the government on the issue of rehabilitation of the slum dwellers, the separatist outfit, National Front, has warned if the government moves ahead with its plan, the state will witness a chaos like Amanrath land row.

While talking to mediapersons, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, president of the National Front said, “There is no such slum in the Valley except for few in the Jammu region which is being occupied by the people from outside the state. Since they don’t belong to the state, there is no question of their rehabilitation.”

The government wants to change the demographic set up of the state, which at any cost won’t be tolerated, he added.

Referring to the Afzal Guru case, he said, “Two innocent people, Ali Mohammad and Nisar Ahmed, held in the Afzal Guru case have got capital punishment.” If he is hanged, the Central Government will have to bear the brunt, he added.
