Addressing senior ASI officers here, Sharma said that for any project undertaken by the archaeological body, there should be dedicated officers to complete it within a set time-frame and for strict monitoring of the implementation.

He said governance, transparency, and timely delivery were the key to good performance.
Sharma also informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has desired that all work done by the ministries should be available in a transparent form in e-books and on web portals.
The minister further said in the review meeting that the officers should develop a system of integrated activities so that a definite atmosphere of change is visible within the next three months.

ASI's Director General Rakesh Tiwari briefed the minister about the history of ASI, its working, achievements and the challenges faced by the organisation.
