Lucknow: Congress Seva Dal national in-charge and former Union Minister Jagdish Tytler said that preference in ticket distribution should be given to those candidates who have got training from the wing.

Tytler said the Seva Dal would putforth this suggestion to the party high to take this aspect into consideration for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a meeting organised by Seva Dal, Tytler said, “In UP, Seva Dal has planned to hold a training programme for the cadre in a big way in all districts starting from July 15 in which at least 90 percent new faces will be included.”

"Our only motive is to help the Congress to gain power in the state by deploying Seva Dal cadres in all the polling booths," he said.

Seva Dal will soon pass a resolution that the candidates will have to work for the youth Congress till they attain the age of 35 and thereafter Seva Dal training will be mandatory for each party candidate.
