Patna: Seven members of All India Student Association (AISA) were injured on Saturday when unidentified miscreants resorted to lathi charge on the protesters near the Patna College entrance gate demanding change in the C-NET.

All injured were rushed to the PMCH.

Protesters alleged that police interfered and started shooting in air to disperse the crowd.

According to police, a hoax call about the presence of a bomb near the protest site by anti-social elements created panic.

However, the police denied from opening air firing.

The incident took place around 2pm.

Soon after the district administration learnt about the incident, DSP Ramakant and Peerbahor police station in-charge Asraar Ahmed rushed to the incident spot.
