Ranchi, Jan 12 (Agencies): Several papers are missing in connection with alleged misappropriation of funds in purchase of sporting equipment and 'out-of-turn' allotment of tenders to bidders in the construction of infrastructure for National Games.

"The Investigating Officer told me several documents have been missing while he is studying the papers found (during raids) and (accordingly) a report will be submitted," Director General of Police Chief Neyaz Ahmed, who also looks after the state Vigilance Bureau, told a news conference here.

He was replying to a query on the progress of vigilance probe into the alleged misappropriation of funds after FIRs had been filed last year against some office-bearers of the National Games Organising Committee.

The vigilance bureau has also raided the places of a former government official a fortnight ago.

The Games are scheduled to be held from February 12 to 26.
