New Delhi: Three women, including a citizen of Turkmenistan, were arrested for allegedly running a sex racket in New Delhi, police said on Friday.

"The accused women were arrested after a raid was conducted in a house at Rohini area in north Delhi on Thursday," said Deputy Commissioner of Police B S Jaiswal.

All the women are aged between 25 and 30 years, Jaiswal said. Of the three, one was pimp who said she and one of her employees used to procure girls from contacts based in Delhi on a contractual basis. One of the arrested is from Turkmenistan and had flown to India in May 2012 on a tourist visa.

Police said the women used to lure businessmen, property dealers and traders from Rohini and charged Rs 5,000 for each deal.
