London: Another controversy hops around the controversial Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Last weekend, Chavez had publicly thanked Shakira after he was presented with the red electric guitar, which was said to be sent by the pop star. But a representative of the singer says that she has nothing to do with the autographed guitar allegedly gifted to Venezuelan President.

However, the singer's publicist admits that the guitar was one of six gigs, organisers had asked her to sign during her concert in Caracas in March. The promoters had one guitar delivered to Chavez, reports a website.

The singer's representative hopes 'acts like this contribute to continue uniting the citizens' of Colombia and Venezuela.
