The 73-year-old leader had sustained a leg fracture from a fall at his Delhi residence earlier this month, following which he was flown to Mumbai in an air ambulance.

Doctors had performed a minor surgery and mend the injury point on his leg on December 5.
"Pawar has been discharged from the Breach Candy Hospital," NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik said.

"He has been advised rest by doctors. We appeal to people not to throng his residence," Malik said.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and senior minister Vinod Tawde were among those who visited the hospital few days ago to inquire about Pawar's health.
