Indore: Zahida Pervez, the main accused in the RTI activist Shehla Masood murder case and her two accomplices Saba Farooqi and Shaqib Ali on Tuesday refused to undergo Polygraph test.

The refusal by all three accused not to undergo the polygraph test has come as a major setback to the CBI probing the case.

All the three accused on February 6 gave their consent for the tests but took a U-turn before the court. The accused were also subjected to test earlier but after getting uncomfortable in interrogation they refused to undergo the tests.

Zahida along with her associates were on Tuesday produced before special CBI court where the court remanded them to judicial custody till March 26 after which Zahida and Saba were sent to Indore’s district jail while other accused Shaqib in the Central Jail.

The Court also asked accused trio to record their statements under section 164 of CrPC on Wednesday, while the third accused Shaqib Ali asked ten-day time to record his statement.
