New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday released Sanskrit books on the lives of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and her father-in law and former Union Minister Uma Shankar Dikshit.

The books are being brought out by Delhi Sanskrit Academy.

Speaking on the occasion, Dikshit described Sanskrit as the mother of all languages and said it is the only language in the world which is purely scientific.

She also commended various activities of Delhi Sanskrit Academy. Dikshit hoped that the Academy will be able to inspire younger generation to learn Sanskrit.

A book on renowned Sanskrit Scholar Dr Girdhari Lal Goswami was also launched at the function.
