New Delhi: After expressing regret over his controversial Hindu terror remark, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Thursday met Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj, to ensure smooth functioning of the Parliament.

According to reports, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi was also present during the meeting.

On Wednesday, BJP had staged a strong protest against Shinde's remarks and said that the comments were part of a conspiracy to divide the nation for vote bank politics.
