Shinde had attended the concert just three hours after the explosions had taken place. During the event, Shinde told the audience that he had requested the organizers to hold the music launch close to the airport as he had to rush to Delhi because of what happened in Patna.

Shinde justified his decision by saying that he had been in constant touch with the security officials. The NCP has also come out in Shinde’s support saying that he visited the venue of music launch for a short while and was monitoring the situation in Patna regularly.
