The lawmaker from Amravati constituency has outrightly denied the allegations against him saying the Nationalist Congress Party candidate wants to gain public sympathy by making false allegations against him.
The 27-year- old Navneet, a well-known southern film actress and model, said that Adsul and his supporters have been harassing her ever since it was notified that the NCP would be fielding her against the Shiv Sena leader in the Lok Sabha elections.
"I was sitting in the police station and registering my complaint, they called and threatened me that if I file my nomination papers, that would be the last day of my life," Navneet, wife of Ravi Rana, Independent legislator from Badnera town (Amravati), said.
In the past, Navneet had alleged that some miscreants had posted obscene photos of her on various social networking websites to malign her reputation before the elections.
Even on other private and public fora, she accused Adsul and his supporters of vilifying her in many ways and said ‘they seem to be scared after my entry into the electoral fray’.
Navneet has acted in several Kannada and Telugu films and was married to legislator Ravi Rana in 2011.
