"I am disturbed about the withdrawal issue. I think my party should have clarified about it," Narvekar told saying that he had withdrawn his candidature after being told to do so by the Sena.

Meanwhile, it is being speculated that Narvekar, who is NCP leader Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar's son-in-law, is likely to join the Sharad Pawar-led party soon.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP candidates Hemant Takle, Kiran Pawaskar and Congress leader Narayan Rane are in touch with Narvekar, sources said.
