Bhopal: Terming the arrest of Baba Ramdev by Delhi Police as "unfortunate and an attack on democracy", Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said the issues raised by him are relevant.

"The arrest of Baba Ramdev was very unfortunate and an attack on democracy as raising issues like corruption and backblack money was not a crime," he said in a statement on Tuesday night.

Expressing solidarity with the yoga guru, the BJP leader said instead of arresting him, it would have been better if the Centre had entered into a dialogue with him to solve the problems flagged by him.
