New Delhi: Under fire over the alleged killing of IPS Narendra Kumar by mining Mafia, Madhya Pradesh government has decided to hold deliberations with Team Anna members over the enactment of strong Lokayukta law in the state on the lines of the Uttarakhand government.

The invitation from the Chief Minister came amidst vehement protest from team Anna demanding stern actions against the mining mafias of the state. The protesters are holding demonstrations in Bhopal since Tuesday against the alleged murder of the IPS officer in Morena district.

The protesters are also pressing for immediate passage of a strong Lokayukta Bill to weed out corruption from the state.

As per the statements issued by the members of Team Anna, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will meet their members Sharad Singh and others on Friday to seek advice on the enactment of a strong Lokayukta law with provisions for the protection of whistle-blowers as well.
