Bhopal: Announcing sops to woo voters from weaker section of the society in the election year, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has promised house for each labourer of the state.

The state government will form Mukhyamantri Shramik Aawas Sangathan to provide shelters to each labourer in the state. In the first phase, the government will construct 10,000 units of dwelling.

Addressing the Shramik Mahapanchayat (gathering of labourers), Shivraj Singh said, each house will cost Rs 3, 00, 000, out of which, Rs 70,000 will be spent by Karmkar Mandal, while rest of the amount will be financed by the banks.

The government will provide loans up to Rs 50, 000 to each family of the labourers for purchasing tools. The Chief Minister also announced to give Rs 4, 000 as monthly pension to the registered labourers of the state.

The children of the labourers will also get scholarship and coaching facilities under Super 500 Scheme.
