New Delhi: Amid the incessant rains and huge floods in the state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan demanded Rs 525 crore financial assistance from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Drawing attention of the Prime Minister on the losses incurred by farmers and higher prices of fertilizers, Chouhan requested him to roll back of price hike of DAP and potash.

The Prime Minister has assured him to give every possible help to the state.

 The Chief Minister also requested Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma to get approved state’s basmati rice by Agro Processing Industrial Development Authority.
