"Congress is in a state of panic because of BJP's popularity in the state and since the polls are nearing, the party (BJP) is trying to show unity among its top leaders," Chouhan said.

He was addressing a meeting as part of his Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Guna, the Lok Sabha constituency of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Earlier, Chouhan also addressed a rally in Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh's hometown Raghogarh.

Targeting Congress over corruption, Chouhan said, "It is an irony that whether Congress ruled at the Centre or in the state, it leads to rise in corruption only."

The Chief Minister said, "During the Congress rule, Madhya Pradesh was full of potholed roads, though the situation has changed now. However, the Centre was unable to repair the National Highways passing from the state."
