Kapoor, who was picked through an audition to play the third angle in the Jaipur-set love story by Yash Raj Films, says she felt a sense of responsibly to perform as well as the other big names that the banner has launched.
"When I got selected for the movie, it seemed more of a challenge and responsibility than fun. But, now that the film has done well at the box office, I am enjoying the process more. I was scared about disappointing my director Maneesh Sharma and Adi (Aditya Chopra)," Vaani said.
The 21-year-old model-turned-actress has signed a three movie contract with the banner and is currently filming the Tamil/Telugu remake of 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. The film marks banner's debut in South.
"My role is on the lines of Anushka Sharma. It is a December release and I am almost on the verge of wrapping the filming. The story is same but the cultural references are different. We have taken the essence of the original movie and made it for an entirely new audience," she said.
Vaani says acting did not seem like a practical choice while she was growing up as she had no film background.
