New Delhi: Even though the Delhi government dismissed charges made by the Shunglu Committee, which is investigating into Commonwealth Games scams, the Union Home Ministry is not pleased with the replies of the state government.

According to sources, the report made by Shunglu Committee and replies by the state government have been sent to another high level committee for further examination.

Sources said the Centre is not in a mood to spare any culprit behind the scams during the Games.

As per a close source, the Delhi government has been facing heat since the findings of Shunglu Committee came out. Now, everything depends upon the CAG report which will be tabled in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament.

If the CAG report mentions scams, few leaders and officers may face the axe.

Presently, bank accounts of big contracts engaged in CWG are under scanner. Investigations are on regarding funds sanctioned by the state government and its utilization by the contractors.

Payments made to labourers are also under lens. The Shunglu Committee was formed a week after CWG ended.
