Bokaro: Mounting pressure on the Arjun Munda government for change of guard in the state, JMM chief Shibu Soren on Wednesday reiterated his demand for a change in leadership as per the decision taken to run the coalition government on a rotational basis of 28 months. Soren even warned to withdraw support and depose the Arjun Munda government if the BJP don’t facilitate a takeover by the JMM.

Shibu Soren said that the Arjun Munda is working well but it was decided to run the government on a rotational basis of 28 months.”  The BJP-led government's tenure ends in December and it will be the JMM's turn to rule the state. Soren said that he will analyze all political possibilities before withdrawing support from the government.

Soren said that the JMM would go solo in the Lok Sabha polls if the party fails to forge alliance with Sudesh Mahato-led AJSU.

Sensing an opportunity, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Pradeep Balmuchu has also come up with a proposal to support JMM in Jharkhand assembly if it breaks its alliance with the BJP.
On being asked about lending support to the JMM, Pradeep Balmuchu said that if Soren wants to form government, he should approach to the Congress.
