Bangalore: Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj on Monday administered Congress leader Siddaramaiah oath as the 28th Chief Minister of the state at the sprawling Kaneetarava stadium in Bangalore.

Nearly 50,000 people, including family members and relatives of the 64-year-old leader, were present at the grand swearing-in ceremony.

Dignitaries present on this occasion included Mallikarjun Kharge, M Veerappa Moily, K Muniyappa, Reheman Khan, Prithviraj Chavan and N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Former state Chief Minister SM Krishna was among the other prominent leaders on the dais.
