New Delhi: A cargo ship ‘Mol comfort’ travelling from Jeddah to Singapore has been drowned at a location 840 nautical miles away from Mumbai. However, the Indian coast guard officials were successful in rescuing all the 26 crew members.

The Coast Guard Rescue Coordination Centre had diverted routes of three other merchant ships to support the crew members of ‘Mol comfort’. Crew members include 12 Russian and 14 Filipino. Coast Guard officials said that 316 metre long ‘Mol Comfort’ was carrying 450 containers from Saudi Arab.

The ship was broken into two pieces in the mid of ocean. It is still not clear how it was happened. As well, it is also not clear what the ship was carrying.
