Los Angeles: 'The Worst Song in the World' title holder Rebecca Black has managed to find a fan in pop diva Lady Gaga.

Black, 13, whose YouTube song 'Friday' has been widely mocked and tagged as 'The Worst Song in the World', has been called "a genius" by Gaga.

"I think it's fantastic. I say Rebecca Black is a genius and anyone that's telling her she's cheesy is full of nonsense," said the 'Poker Face' hit maker.

Black came under fire for her auto-tuned viral hit but the pop superstar praises the singer though she admits that she is yet to see the video, which has racked up some 35 million hits.

Recently, the singer claimed that she is being "cyber-bullied" over her song, which she recorded after her mother paid USD 2000 to the Los Angeles based Ark Studios.

According to certain estimates, Black is now making around USD 27,000 a week from iTunes sales and YouTube streams.

Music mogul Simon Cowell has also defended Black by claiming that she had "done nothing wrong".
