Director's cut:

The 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' hit maker Anil Sharma has joined hands  with Sunny Deol  once again and come up with this action movie. Sharma says his latest outing is a satire with action and a love story. "Fans kept telling me how desperately they wanted to see Sunny in action again! Well, here we are, with 'Singh Saab The Great'. At the same time, it will be a complete entertainer," Sharma said.

Star's speak:

The main protagonist, Sunny Deol who is coming back to limelight as a solo hero, has not left a single chance to hog the limelight.  Reportedly, the actor does not want to give interviews for his upcoming film, Singh Saab The Great, with co-star Amrita Rao and director Anil Sharma. He apparently wasn’t comfortable sharing the platform with them.

Says a source, “There were a couple of television interviews lined up which Sunny had to do along with Amrita and the director. He, however, insisted on doing them alone. Amrita and Anil later did their interviews separately.”

Adds the source, “Sunny also preferred to go alone on a reality show to promote the film. There’s no clear reason why he is behaving in this manner as for the earlier movie-related events, he did not shun anyone from the film. As he is essaying the title role, he feels the rest does not matter.”

While talking about his role in this movie, Sunny Deol says his character in upcoming film "Singh Saab The Great" (SSTG) reminded him of his father Dharmendra's role in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's "Satyakam" .

"I have always played characters I have believed in. I can't fake emotions. When Anil narrated the subject to me, my character reminded me of the role that my father had done in Satyakam. "However, 'Singh Sahab the Great' has no connection with Satyakam. It is a completely different film. But the character I play is a very powerful one," Sunny said.

Model-actress Urvashi Rautela, 19, will be seen romancing 57-year-old Sunny Deol in  "Singh Saab The Great". Urvashi Rautela says she was "not at all" skeptical before signing the film. "Age doesn't matter to me. What's there in the age? It's just a number! When we can see Rajinikanth romancing Aishwarya Rai madam...it's just like that. I know it's a big age gap, but we are all very professional and as long as we look great together, nothing matters," Urvashi said. But  "Singh Saab The Great  has to compete with Punil Malhotra’s  ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ on this Friday.
