New Delhi: Six candidates have been shortlisted to succeed Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Managing Director, E Sreedharan. Out of the 35 applicants, six have been selected for the interview round which is to be held on October 14 at Metro Hall, Barakhambha Road.

The list of the shortlisted candidates include Additional General Manager Indian Railways Vipin Jha, Chief Executive Officer South Eastern Railway (Construction) Sudheer Mitta, Managing Director RK Gupta, Director Railway Development Corporation Limited Vijay Anand.

The DMRC officials who will appear in front of the panel are Director (Works) Mangu Singh and Executive Director (Electric) Sharat Sharma.

Earlier, this year an advertisement for the post of MD, DMRC was published. The eligibility criteria for the application were minimum age limit of 45 years and maximum limit of 58 years. Along with this, the applicant must have served the public body under Government of India as class one employee for at least 28 years.

It is to be noted that the tenure of new successor will last for five years. The new MD will take over the charge from January 2012.
