Islamabad: A drone fired six missiles at a house in Pakistan's Northwestern tribal region on Sunday, killing at least six people, a media report said. The strike took place in Datta Khel area near Miranshah, the main city of North Waziristan.

Residents in Miranshah said a drone had been flying over the area since Sunday morning and launched the strike around 11.45 a.m. Local tribesmen said they could not approach the strike site because of the fear of another attack.

Armed Taliban arrived at the scene and removed the bodies, they claimed.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Saturday in Australia that no permission had been given to the US to launch drone attacks on targets inside Pakistan.

He said the drone attacks were one of the reasons why relations between Pakistan and the US had deteriorated in recent months.
