The order was issued by the District Collector K Vivekanandan and was served on the accused at the Salem Central Jail on Friday afternoon.

The accused are S Sakthi, M Durai, C Santhosh, S Adhiyaman, G Ashokan, and G Shankar. They were arrested from Natham colony in Dharmapuri.

They have already been charged with the Arms Act, Explosives Act and other IPC sections. The police have reportedly recovered two country-made guns and some explosives.

Following their arrest, a special police team had arrested one Thiruppathi of Natham colony in connection with the case.

According to a leading daily, the arrested men were part of a group being trained in handling of arms by 'Thudi,' a Maoists organization, in the forests of Dharmapuri and border areas of Andhra Pradesh.
